The Crew has already improved on the last series vs. the Cubs. Let's see if the good times keep rollin' tonight.
Pitching matchups, line-ups, and Kraft dinner, after the jump.
last Friday, when the Brewers absorbed an 8-0 gut punch. Wolf hasn't faced the Cubs yet in 2010, but he was stellar against the Baby Bears in 2009, putting together a 1.29 ERA over 14.0 innings in two starts.
Five Cub position players have faced Wolf more than 10 times in their (respective) careers:
Player | PA | AVG | OBP | SLG | OPS |
Derrek Lee | 47 | .262 | .340 | .405 | .745 |
Aramis Ramirez | 26 | .200 | .231 | .360 | .591 |
Alfonso Soriano | 25 | .227 | .280 | .500 | .780 |

Geovany Soto | 14 | .308 | .357 | .385 | .742 |
For the Cubs, it's erstwhile set-up man Carlos Zambrano (1-4, 6.14 ERA). Slightly Trimmed Down Z returned to Chicago's rotation last Friday against the Pirates, lasting 4.1 innings while walking three, striking out three, and giving up three earned runs. Zambrano only threw 84 pitches against the Bucs, and his arm might not yet be stretched out. Zambrano has made one start against the Crew in 2010, going five innings and surrendering four runs (three earned) and eight hits while striking out seven in a game the Brewers won, 8-6.
Seven Brewers have faced Zambrano more than ten times:
