Pitching and lineups and stuff after the jump.

The Brewers are starting Yovani Gallardo today. Gallardo hasn't faced the Dodgers in 2010. He had two starts against them in 2009, the only in his career, both run-filled losses.

The Dodgers are starting Carlos Monasterios today. Monasterios is a rookie, picked up in this year's Rule 5 draft. This is just his 10th start of the year. He was primarily a starter in his first two years in the Phillies system but most of his 2009 appearances were in relief. Unlike most rookie starters facing the Brewers, the Brewers have actually faced him before in his previous incarnation as a relief pitcher. In a two-inning relief appearance on May 4, he gave up 1 run on 3 hits. Unfortunately, two of them were by Carlos Gomez and Joe Inglett, and neither of them are in today's starting lineup.

I'm sorry for not going into a great deal of detail about today's pitching matchups. My computer is having a lot of issues and won't load websites in good time. If anyone can tell me why a computer running Windows XP with no viruses or spyware takes a half-hour to load a browser window, I'd appreciate it.

On the other hand, I know the game isn't being broadcast in Milwaukee today but I'm in St. Paul and I have the Dodgers feed on my TV. If anyone needs a description of what's going on in the game, just ask....
