* K-Rod is on the DL (hand, crazy), so I don't include his stats in these figures.

Since last we met: Since the Brewers took two of three from the Mets at Miller Park on May 28-30, the Mets have gone 50-54, dropping to three games under .500 on the year (76-79) and falling to fourth place in the tough NL East.  The main culprit in the Mets' demise has been a spotty offense, which has put together a cumulative .248 / .311 / .378 line over the last four months.

Who's hot: Over the last month, while the rest of the team, by and large, has been spinning its wheels, rookie first baseman Ike "Don't Kick the Baby" Davis has accumulated a .361 / .455 / .554 line, with three homers and seven doubles.  For the year, the rook's at .268 / .353 / .444, with 18 taters, 32 doubles, and 69 driven in.

Who's not: Besides manager Jerry Manuel (who's dealing with the fallout of Joe Torre expressing interest in the Mets' job in the waning days of his tenure as New York's skipper) and the injured Jason Bay (who's been out for two months following a concussion sustained when he slammed into the outfield wall in Dodger Stadium) and the injured Johan Santana (bum shoulder, out until the All Star Break next year, may not be fully healthy until 2012) and closer Francisco Rodriguez (see above) ... I'm sorry, what were we talking about, again?
