I missed about 90% of this game while in class (unfortunately I tuned in just in time to see the bottom of the ninth), so I'm going to rely on my box score to tell me the story of this game.

It looks like Randy Wolf pitched well, allowing only two runs (both on David Wright's homer) over seven solid innings.

The Brewers got all three of their runs off Mike Peflrey, including Corey's Hart's 31st homer of the season. They had a 3-2 lead going into the ninth and John Axford was trying for yet another 3+ out save. But he didn't have it in him tonight. Ike Davis led off the bottom of the inning with a near-homer. Two batters later Ruben Tejada hit another long double to score both baserunners. Bummer.

EDIT: Tonight's silver lining: The Reds won tonight and are going to the playoffs. Cardinals officially eliminated!
