The action starts today from the Thunderdome Tropicana Field, where the Rays send left-hander David Price (12-13, 3.49) to face Texas right-hander Colby Lewis (14-10, 4.40). First pitch -- in front of what's sure to be a frothing throng of 15,000 Tampanians -- is scheduled around 4:00 p.m. CDT.
After that, it's the Yankees and Tigers, live from Comerica Park in Detroit. As things currently stand, this game is scheduled to deliver the pitching matchup of the playoffs (thus far, anyway): Justin Verlander (24-5, 2.40) vs. CC Sabathia (19-8, 3.00), both of whom started Game 1 of their series only to see the game postponed by rain in the second inning. Game three of the series is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. CDT.
Both contests will be broadcast on TBS. Use this thread for observations, insinuations, consternation and repartee.
Enjoy the games!
