The Thursday Thinker: Long Lost Luis

I have an errand to run this morning, so I'm shuffling today's schedule around a bit. The Mug will be up sometime after noon. - KL

As I worked on yesterday's Mug, I came across a headline:

Nationals Designate Luis Atilano For Assignment

I didn't recognize the name, so I scribbled down a quick note and didn't think much more about it. It wasn't until later that I realized that Atilano spent roughly half the season (16 starts) as a member of the Nats' starting rotation in 2010.

That got me wondering: How many more pitchers that I've completely forgotten made that significant of a contribution in 2010? So I did what I do every Thursday: I made a Sporcle quiz. There are 80 pitchers who started at least 16 games in the NL in 2010. How many can you name in 15 minutes?

The rules remain the same: Post your score in the comments but do not comment on any specific answer until after 6 pm Central time, so everyone gets a chance to try it out without having it spoiled for them. And, of course, there's no reason to cheat here, because there aren't any prizes.

One quick note that may help you: The quiz accepts the last names of players, but has some minor quirks. If, for example, noted one act play subject Gritty Von Canthitalick was a correct answer, "Canthitalick" would be an accepted answer but "Von Canthitalick" would not.

I don't think anyone will get them all, but I've been surprised before. If you get them all, post your time along with your score.

Have fun, and don't forget to post your score in the comments!
