Brewers 1, White Sox 2

Win: Mark Buehrle
Loss: Marco Estrada

HR: None

  • It was a second straight poor day for the Brewers offense as they managed just one run on 6 hits.  Only four Brewers players managed to get on base.  Edwin Maysonet took a walk, Scooter Gennett had a single, newly crowned bench players Erick Almonte and Jeremy Reed celebrated by going 2-3 and 3-4, respectively.  The Milwaukee hitters also struck out 15 times.
  • The good news is it was the second straight day of very good pitching.  Marco Estrada, who may be battling to stay in the starting rotation with the trade for Sergio Mitre, pitched 6 innings and gave up both White Sox runs in the second inning.  He allowed eight hits plus walks and struck out four.  Mark DiFelice (1.2 innings) and Mitch Stetter (1.1 innings) finished the game, with the only baserunner coming on a walk from DiFelice.
  • Just three more spring training games (including a split squad tomorrow!), then we can finally start the season. Four more days!
