Quick, Everyone On The Bus: Brewers Escape Arizona With 8-7 Win Over Padres

And with that, finally, the Brewers were done with spring training baseball for 2011.

The Brewers sent Randy Wolf to the mound for one last tune-up start today and the results weren't pretty again. He allowed seven runs on eight hits over 4.2 innings of work. Only three of those runs were earned, though, as four of them scored after a Yuniesky Betancourt error in the first inning. It was his fourth error of the spring. Wolf did not walk a batter and struck out three today, finishing the spring with a. 8.74 ERA.

On a positive note, the Brewers were able to get through the game without any regulars getting hurt. Rickie Weeks, Carlos Gomez, Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, Casey McGehee, Mark Kotsay, Yuniesky Betancourt and Wil Nieves were all in the lineup today and all escaped without injury. Gomez, Fielder and Kotsay even managed multi-hit games before being lifted.

While the Brewer regulars were waiting for the airplane to take off for Cincinnati, Jeremy Reed and Edwin Maysonet each had RBI base hits in the sixth to give the Brewers an 8-7 lead and the win.

Nyjer Morgan was one of the Brewers coming off the bench today, and went 2-for-3 with a double in his Brewer debut.
