The biggest story of this game was the benches clearing in the 6th inning. No one threw any punches or the like, but there was plenty of jawing going on and Prince had to be held back by both an ump and Mark Kotsay.
Casey McGehee struck out with the bases loaded and Dodgers pitcher Roman Colon pumped his fist and was animated. Casey took umbrage and the two started having words. Prince joined in from first base and according to BA and Rock, Tony Gwynn Jr. had some words to say from the sidelines. Both benches and bullpens cleared, but no one touched any one else and it was quickly diffused.
The long offensive bright spot was Prince's second home run of Spring Training in the fourth inning.
Eulogio De La Cruz was roughed up in the third, giving up five hits and four runs, as well as a really awkward balk.
Saito gave up a leadoff HR to Gwynn in his one inning pitched. Sean Green saw three batters and got them all to groundout. Tim Dillard was the only pitcher to pitch more than one inning. He gave up 3 hits - 2 home runs. Brandon Kintzler pitched a 1-2-3 sixth. Roque Mercedes had one inning pitched, giving up one hit and notching one strikeout. Marco Estrada pitched a one hit, one walk inning. Michael Fiers had the ninth, giving up one hit and getting one strikeout.
