Two days without baseball and we're greeted with WMLW upon its return? This seems like cruel and unusual punishment.
Follow the jump for the usual.
Shaun Marcum (1-1, 4.22/4.18 ERA/FIP) will be making his third start for the Brewers. After a rough first outing, Marcum bounced back nicely in his second start, allowing only 2 runs over 6 innings against the Braves. He still walked 2, which still isn't really Marcum-like, but I guess its better than walking 5. No Pirate has ever faced Marcum.
Marcum will be facing Kevin Correia (2-0, 1.29/2.84 ERA/FIP). The Pirates' righty has actually been pretty goos so far this season. His last start was on the 6th where he threw 7 shutout innings against the Cardinals, but he also pitched 1 inning on the 9th in the Bucs' loss to the Rockies. Over his career Correia has given up plenty of hits and plenty of walks, and he doesn't strike out many, but he's a ground ball machine, with a career GB% of 42.3%. In his career against the Brewers Correia is 2-3 with a 4.93 ERA. Four Brewers have faced Correia at least 10 times.
