Your Minor League Opening Day Open Thread

You know what's the best way to celebrate a matinee win (and a 3-1 series triumph) by YOUR Milwaukee Brewers?  By watching / listening / Interneting as the Brewers of the Future start their seasons tonight.

On the docket:

Class A Brevard County opens its season at home against the Daytona Cubs at 6:05 p.m. CDT.  (It's Fan "Pre"Appreciation Night for Brevard County, so if you're nearby and you're not doing anything, go let the Manatees pre-appreciate you for a couple hours.)  Kyle Heckathorn is on the slab for the Manatees, matching up with the Baby Cubs' Robert Whitenack.

Class A Wisconsin opens the year vs. the Kane County Cougars at 6:35 p.m. CDT in Appleton.  Austin Ross gets the call for the Timber Rattlers, and he's opposed by Leonel Santiago for the Cougars.

Class AA Huntsville starts the year at Jacksonville, with the action starting at 6:05 p.m. CDT.  On the bump for the Stars is budding star Wily Peralta, while the Suns counter with righty Dallas Trahern.

Class AAA Nashville begins an eight-game homestand with a date with the New Orleans Zephyrs, and Nashville mayor Karl Dean is scheduled to throw the season's first pitch at around 7:05 p.m. CDT.  Amaury Rivas (still have to spellcheck that first name every time I write it) takes the ball for the Sounds; the Zephyrs are starting right-hander Elih Villanueva (had to spellcheck that one three times, too).

Enjoy the games!
