Let me preface this by saying this it's going to be close to impossible for the Brewers to remain as bad on the road as they've been so far this season. With that said, they're on pace to end up among some pretty dubious company.
The Brewers entered play tonight as one of just four major league teams with less than ten road wins on the season, and after losing to the Reds tonight they're 8-18 in their first 26 games away from Miller Park. That puts them on pace to go 25-56 in their 81 road games this season, which would tie the worst mark in franchise history:
Team | Road Record | Overall |
2002 | 25-56 | 56-106 |
1970 | 26-55 | 65-97 |
2006 | 27-54 | 75-87 |
1969 | 30-51 | 64-98 |
1984 | 30-51 | 67-94 |
1977 | 30-51 | 67-95 |
That 2002 team, which the Brewers are currently on pace to match, was the only 100 loss team in franchise history.
Obviously this Brewer team is better than all of those listed above. They've got some work to do, however, if they're going to avoid being listed among them in the future.
