Follow the jump for pitching matchups and the exciting conclusion of today's double-header.

It finally here. The triumphant debut of Zack Greinke(10-14, 4.17/3.34 ERA/FIP last season). As we all know, Greinke's stuff is elite. He has both a two-seam and four-seam fastball, which average about 94 MHP, and his slider about 87 MPH. He also features a 74 MPH curve ball and 84 MHP change up. His fastball and slider are the best of those two pitches. Last year opposing batters hit .275 and .148 off those pitches, respectively.

Now, time for Debbie Downer. As exciting as this day is, I'm trying very hard to not get my hopes up. For one thing, Greinke will be at around a 90 pitch limit tonight. His minor league rehab outings didn't produce results that I would call exciting. His three innings in Brevard Co. were fine and dandy, but over his two starts in Nashville he compiled a 4.70 ERA over seven innings. I'm sure in time Greinke will be the Greinke we all expect, but tonight, he migh still be in "spring training mode." In his career against Atlanta, Greinke is 0-0 with a 3.86 ERA and 5 Ks over 7 innings. Only Eric Hinske has faced Greinke at least 10 times. In 15 PA Hinske has a .200/.200/.400 line with a double, triple and RBI and 5 Ks.

Of course, we can't forget Greinke's bat. I hear he's pretty awesome with that too.

Greinke will get to face Tim Husdon (3-2, 3.48/2.96 ERA/FIP), who I hear is also pretty good. Opponents are batting just .252 against Hudson this year. In his last time out Hudson limited the Cardinals to two runs over 6 innings. Hudson pounds the strike zone, and has only allowed seven free passes this season (1.5 BB/9), two of which were intentional. Interestingly enough, he also leads the league in wold pitches this season, with 4. He's also only allowed one home run this season, so it will be interesting to see how he handles the home run happy Crew. In his career against the Brewers Hudson is 3-3 with a 3.57 ERA. Six Brewers have faced Hudson more than 10 times.
