Stat Of The Night: Showing Improvement

In play, win(s)!
In play, win(s)!

By finishing the sweep in Florida tonight, the Brewers wrapped up a 5-2 road trip. They entered the trip at 8-17 on the road, the worst record in all of baseball and on pace to tie the worst in franchise history. They're now 13-19, on pace to go 33-48 on the season. That would only be the franchise's 17th worst season:

Team(s) Road Losses
2002 56
1970 55
2006 54
1969, 1977 and 1984 51
1976, 1985, 1993, 1997 and 2000 50
1972, 1975, 2001, 2004 and 2007 49

The Brewers' best road record in a 162 game season came in 1982, when they went 48-33. This year's team would need to go 35-14 the rest of the way to match that mark.
