By finishing the sweep in Florida tonight, the Brewers wrapped up a 5-2 road trip. They entered the trip at 8-17 on the road, the worst record in all of baseball and on pace to tie the worst in franchise history. They're now 13-19, on pace to go 33-48 on the season. That would only be the franchise's 17th worst season:
Team(s) | Road Losses |
2002 | 56 |
1970 | 55 |
2006 | 54 |
1969, 1977 and 1984 | 51 |
1976, 1985, 1993, 1997 and 2000 | 50 |
1972, 1975, 2001, 2004 and 2007 | 49 |
The Brewers' best road record in a 162 game season came in 1982, when they went 48-33. This year's team would need to go 35-14 the rest of the way to match that mark.
