Axford, Betancourt, Braun, Greinke or Marcum: Who Will Be Brewer Of The Week?

Nine more weeks like this one would be pretty nice, as the Brewers went 4-2. This was one of the tougher weeks in recent memory to pick BotW candidates, as three pretty good candidates (Prince Fielder, Yovani Gallardo and Francisco Rodriguez) missed the ballot. Here are your nominees:

John Axford closed out all four Brewer wins this week, setting a new franchise record with 27 consecutive saves. He allowed just two hits and walked none while striking out five over four innings.

Yuniesky Betancourt had a hit in five of the six Brewer games this week, including a pair of doubles. He hit .368/.381/.474 this week.

Ryan Braun had multiple hits in three of his five appearances this week, including three home runs. He hit .474/.500/1.053 this week.

Zack Greinke pitched 6.2 scoreless innings against the Cubs on Wednesday in a 2-0 victory. He held Chicago to just three hits, walked three and struck out nine in the outing.

Shaun Marcum made two starts this week and won them both, combining to hold the Cubs and Giants to four runs on eleven hits over 13 innings, good for a 2.77 ERA. He walked one and struck out nine over the two starts.
