Tonight's Matchup: Brewers (Gallardo) at Cardinals (Carpenter)

For two teams that play each other all the time, the Brewers individually haven't faced Chris Carpenter (3.75 ERA, 3.13 FIP) that much. The batters with the most experience against Carpenter are Felipe Lopez (7 for 27, 6 BB) and Jerry Hairston (6 for 28). Carpenter has started twice against the Brewers this season, losing both games.

I'd have thought that the Cardinals would have faced Yovani Gallardo (3.56 ERA, 3.54 FIP) more as well, but not surprisingly the Card with the most experience against Yo is Lance Berkman (5 for 18, 7 BB). Gallardo has only faced the Cardinals once this season, an 8-inning outing back on May 7 where he one-hit them.

Tonight's Brewers lineup, with no Braun (or Hairston for that matter:)

Corey Hart RF
Nyjer Morgan CF
Mark Kotsay LF
Prince Fielder 1B
Casey McGehee 3B
Yuniesky Betancourt SS
Felipe Lopez 2B
Jonathan Lucroy C
Yovani Gallardo P
