Win Expectancy Graph and Star of the Game Voting

The Brewers got all their offense done in the first inning when Mark Kotsay hit a double down the left field line to score Corey Hart; Kotsay then scored on a Prince Fielder single. Unfortunately tonight Gallardo didn't strike out as many as he usually does and gave up the Dreaded Home Runs. Thankfully the DHR were solo, but Gallardo's final inning in the 5th really sealed the Cards' lead. Gallardo uncorked a wild pitch that let Pujols score.

The rest of the pitching went well. Frankie de la Cruz made his Brewers debut, only giving up a hit to Pujols that Corey Hart misplayed into a two-base error. Tim Dillard also came out of hiding to pitch an effective 8th. The best news of all: the Brewers may not have swept the road trip but they're still 4 games ahead of the Cardinals in the NL Central.
