The Big Brewers may be off today but there's plenty of baseball being played in the minors. All audio for games can be reached here; you may have to find the opposing team's broadcast.
By the time you read this, the AZL Brewers' game vs the AZL Diamondbacks will probably be completed. It was a 1PM CT start. We have no audio there. (box / pbp)
The Brevard County Manatees had a doubleheader scheduled yesterday but it rained again and the first game of said doubleheader was suspended in the bottom of the 10th inning. As you know, minor league doubleheaders are usually only 7 innings long. 30 minutes after the suspended game finishes, Mark Rogers (0-4, 9.41 for all teams) will match up against Lakeland's Trevor Feeney (7-10, 4.24) for an epic 7-inning battle of...something. Feeney shut out the Manatees over 6 IP on 7/11, if you want an idea. Action starts at 4:05.
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are on the road and will be finishing off a series against the Kane County Cougars at 6:30. Eric Arnett (4-2, 5.19 for Helena) will be making his Wisconsin debut against the Cougars' Leondy Perez (4-11, 3.53). Perez's last 5 starts look good but in his last start against Wisconsin on 7/7 he gave up 9 runs on 13 hits in 5 innings.
The Huntsville Stars entertain the Tennessee Smokies at 6:43. At the time of writing pitching matchups haven't been posted.
The Helena Brewers kick off a series at home against the Billings Mustangs tonight at 8:05. Tommy Toledo (0-1, 2.89), in his 3rd start, is opposed by the Mustangs' Wes Mugarian (2-4, 6.59).
The only potentially viewable action tonight is the Nashville Sounds-Reno Aces game, kicking off at 9:05 PM. If you're not tired yet and have a MiLB.TV subscription, you can watch it. Nashville's Sam Narron (5-5, 4.78) hopefully is over that suboptimal start in Colorado Springs last week. He's facing off against Barry Enright (8-3, 5.14). I think most of us recall what happened the last time Enright met Brewers bats. If anyone wants to speculate about the number of Sounds HR in this game, it would make the thread lively. (The odd thing about Enright is that he's given up 16 HR in 15 starts for Reno but has given up 11 HR in 7 starts for Arizona. Anyway, HR. Lots.)
