The Pirates beat the Reds 4-3. With Pittsburgh up 3-2 going into the ninth, the Reds tied the game with an RBI HBP. Unfortunately for Cincy, Ryan Ludwick would follow that up with an RBI single, walking the Pirates off.
The Astros beat the Rockies 11-2. Carlos Lee had four RBI, JD Martinez went 3-5, and Angel Sanchez scored three runs and drove in two more. And Brett Myers gave up just one run in six innings while striking out six.
The Cubs beat the Cardinals 5-1! Alfonso Soriano hit a three run homer to give the Cubs a 4-1 lead in the eighth inning! The Cubs tacked on another in the ninth! Carlos Marmol shut down the Cardinals offense in the ninth! The Cardinals playoff hopes are swirling the drain!
