After the first series of the quarterfinals, we have two different matches going on. We have a low scoring match and a high scoring match in progress right now, both providing some interesting stories.
In Match #5, it has been a low scoring match. Dulzy and jarlbartar currently lead with three points each, but MrLeam and proachinf are right behind them. There's plenty of time left in this match, and with a four day series coming up, it's anyone's match right now.
In Match #6, it is a different story. Despite low scoring in the series, jimf and thefreewheelin76 had big scoring series to take some big leads. There is still plenty of time, and icecreamman is not far behind in the match. As for ObiBraunKenobi, he has fallen into a deep hole and will need a good series and a little help to make it to the semifinals.
The 9th place consolation bracket features a couple of blowout matches as well. Badgerman59 and brewerspug have taken a good lead in match #1, and ddloml and MKEtotheATX also have taken leads in match #2.
As for the consolation match, we have a close out going on. Bush League All Star and dikapalooza have small leads, with Kid19, Michael E1, and Jennings085 all right behind them.
With a four game series on hand at home, there should be plenty of chances to score. No one has claimed victory in this week's matches yet.
