This is Part Five of a ten part series looking at the Brewers' longest home runs of 2011, as measured by Hit Tracker Online. The first four parts in the series ran last week and can be accessed here:

Rank Hitter Distance Date Link
7 Prince Fielder 443 feet July 5 Post (w/ video)
8 Corey Hart 443 feet July 19 Post (w/ video)

While the Brewers had a season to remember in 2011, they led it off with a weekend to forget. They followed up a blown save on Opening Day with a close loss in game two, then got blown out 12-3 on Sunday, April 3 to drop to 0-3 and cause many of us to inch a little closer to the ledge.

Ryan Braun did, however, give us something to enjoy briefly in that blowout loss as he crushed this hanging breaking ball from Bronson Arroyo:

That ball traveled an estimated 444 feet to left center, and was the seventh longest shot hit at Great American Ballpark this season. Hit Tracker estimates that the wind actually cost it about 17 feet in distance.

The homer was Braun's second solo shot of the series. Ten of his 33 home runs in 2011 came in April.
