The Division Series round continues tonight with a pair of Game 2's.
First at 3:30 the Nationals will look to take a 2-0 lead in their series with the Cardinals. The Nats will send Jordan Zimmermann (2.94 ERA, 3.51 FIP) to the mound to face Jaime Garcia (3.92 ERA, 2.97 FIP).
Fun fact: Jordan Zimmermann is the first Wisconsin-born pitcher to start a postseason game since Brad Radke with the Twins in 2006. No Wisconsin-born pitcher has won a postseason game since Radke and Jarrod Washburn both did in 2002.
Then at 7 the Yankees, who also lead their series 1-0, will face the Orioles in Baltimore. Andy Pettitte (2.87 ERA, 3.48 FIP) will face Taiwanese lefty Wei-Yin Chen (4.02 ERA, 4.42 FIP).
Fun fact: Andy Pettitte, who turned 40 in June, will be the fourth 40-year old player to appear in a game this postseason. Two of the others are Yankees DH Raul Ibanez and Orioles DH Jim Thome. (Chipper Jones is the last one).
Chen, meanwhile, is only the third Taiwanese pitcher ever to appear in a postseason game. He joins Chien-Ming Wang and Hong-Chih Kuo.
Both of tonight's games will be broadcast on TBS.
