The Thursday Thinker: Longest Tenured Catchers

By May of 2013 Jonathan Lucroy may move all the way up to fifth on the Brewers' all time games caught list.

It'd be pretty hard to play consistent defense with a revolving door behind the plate, but for the most part the Brewers have been trying to do it for 40+ years now. Since Opening Miller Park in 2001 the Brewers have had 25 different players appear at catcher, including forgettable names like Keith Osik, Wil Nieves and Marcus Jensen.

I stumbled across this number the other day: Jonathan Lucroy's 295 career games at catcher are already the eighth most in Brewer franchise history. How many members of the top eight can you name in three minutes?

In the past we've asked people not to post spoilers in the comments, so everyone gets a chance to try out the quiz without having it spoiled from them. I'm scrapping that rule this year and simply warning you that comments may contain spoilers. Also, please use the comments to post your score but remember there's no reason to cheat here, because there aren't any prizes.

If you somehow manage to get all of these, be sure to post your time along with your score in the comments.

If you finish this quiz and you're looking for more Brewer-related Sporcle quizzes, here are this offseason's other thinkers:

Have fun, and don't forget to post your score in the comments!
