Game Thread #-24: Brewers (4-6-1) @ Cubs (6-4)

I'm running out of pictures to use from Spring Training. Wouldn't be surprised if this one has been used already.

After dropping a split-squad doubleheader yesterday, the Brewers are traveling to Mesa today to face the Cubs.

Starting for the Brewers today is Randy Wolf (3.69 ERA, 4.29 FIP in 2011; 0.00 ERA, 3.10 FIP in Spring Training). So far this spring, he has done well. The only two baserunners he has allowed have been through walks; no batter has recorded a hit off of him yet. Opposing for the Cubs today is Randy Wells (4.99 ERA, 5.11 FIP in 2011; 0.00 ERA, 2.19 FIP in Spring Training). He has made one appearance so far this spring, allowing one hit in 2.2 innings. Wells is battling for a spot in the Cubs rotation this season.

Mike Vassalo tweeted that Wolf will be followed in today's game by Jose Veras, Jed Bradley, Santo Manzanillo, and Daniel Meadows.

Wolf gets his security blanket back today as Kottaras will start behind the plate. Here is the rest of today's lineup, courtesy of Tom Haudricourt:

Norichika Aoki LF
Nyjer Morgan CF
Rickie Weeks 2B
Alex Gonzalez SS
Mat Gamel 1B
George Kottaras C
Carlos Gomez RF
Cesar Izturis 3B

Tom Haudricourt also tweeted that Ryan Braun and Aramis Ramirez are not traveling with the team today.

Today's game will be broadcast on WTMJ and the Brewers Radio Network. Check your local Brewers radio affiliate to see if the game will be on in your area. If not, you can also listen through MLB Gameday Audio and the MLB At Bat app.
