vs. Cards (1-0, 0.00) vs. Brewers (1-0, 3.00)

The Brewers and Cardinals open their second series of 2012 tonight. We've already talked to Viva El Birdos once in April, so now seems like as good a time as any to take a look back at some of my favorite Brewers/Cardinals moments from 2011.

1) Brewers score six runs in the fifth inning to win Game 1 of the NLCS

The Brewers were trailing 5-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning against Jaime Garcia in the first game of the series at Miller Park, but six hits and an error led to six Brewer runs crossing the plate as the Brewers stormed ahead.

Follow the jump for four more!

2) Rickie Weeks' go-ahead homer on June 11

With Zack Greinke on the mound at Miller Park the Brewers had fallen behind 2-1 on a Lance Berkman home run in the fifth. The Cardinal lead was short lived, however, as Greinke singled to left to lead off the inning and Rickie Weeks drove him home with this blast.

You can see video of this play here.

3) Prince Fielder's go-ahead homer on June 12

The very next night the Brewers did it again. This time they were trailing 3-0 entering the sixth inning and put up four runs. Prince Fielder's tape measure blast put the exclamation point on the inning.

4) Casey McGehee's three homers on August 3

Casey McGehee had a season to forget with the Brewers in 2011, but a day to remember on August 3 when he took Edwin Jackson deep three times.

5) McGehee's tenth inning RBI double on August 9

The Brewers blew a 3-1 lead in this game and went into extra innings, but Casey McGehee drove him Nyjer Morgan with this double to give them the lead in the tenth and John Axford closed out the victory.
