The last time the Brewers visited Chase Field it was a house of horrors, as they lost to the Diamondbacks 8-1 in Game 4 of the NLDS. Tonight they'll get a chance to ease back into the facility with a meaningless exhibition game.
It's Randy Wolf taking on Josh Collmenter tonight at 8:40, and you can listen live on WTMJ.

Tonight the Brewers will get another look at their old friend Josh Collmenter (11.81 ERA this spring, 3.38/3.80 ERA/FIP in 2011), and maybe this time they'll finally figure him out. Collmenter is making his sixth start of a dreadful spring, having allowed 21 runs on 27 hits in 16 innings to date. He got roughed up by the Angels on Friday, allowing eight runs on ten hits over just four innings.
Collmenter is the type of pitcher who gets guys out despite having stuff that seems pedestrian at best. His fastball doesn't break 90 and over 1/4 of all his pitches are curves. Both the curve and his fastball were plus pitches for him in 2011.
And, as you may recall, Collmenter owned the Brewers in 2011. He pitched 14 shutout innings and allowed just six hits against them during the regular season, then held them to a run on just two hits over seven innings in Game 3 of the NLDS. Corey Hart homered off him in that game.
He'll face Randy Wolf (4.78 ERA this spring, 3.69/4.29 ERA/FIP in 2011), who has probably been ready for the season to start for a while now. This is Wolf's seventh appearance of the spring, but his first since allowing seven runs on 12 hits against the Reds on Thursday.
For whatever it's worth, Wolf's strikeout rate this spring is interesting. He's fanned 21 opposing batters in 26.1 innings this spring, good for over seven per nine innings. He set a new career low by only striking out 5.7 batters per nine during the regular season in 2011.
Wolf faced the Diamondbacks twice in 2011, getting one quality start and one disaster outing out of it. He also picked up the loss in NLDS Game 4, allowing seven runs on eight hits in just three innings.
