Braun, Gallardo, Greinke, Lucroy or Parra: Who Will Be Brewer Of The Week?

New, 1 comment

This was the Brewers' second 2-4 week in a row, but it did have some bright spots. Here are you BotW nominees.

Ryan Braun (two time defending) had at least one hit in all five of his games this week, and seven hits in the Reds series. Four of his hits this week went for extra bases, including three home runs. He hit .450/.500/.950 this week and was worth +.296 WPA.

Yovani Gallardo held the Reds to two runs on four hits Tuesday, walking two and striking out eight. He was worth +.183 WPA this week.

Zack Greinke made two starts this week and posted a 2.03 over 13.1 innings, walking one and striking out 16. He pitched eight shutout innings while allowing just two hits Wednesday, walking none and striking out eleven. He was worth +.230 WPA this week.

Jonathan Lucroy had a hit in all six Brewer games this week to extend his streak to seven games (tied for the longest by a Brewer this season) and had four multi-hit games. He hit .435/.435/.565 this week and was worth +.127 WPA.

Manny Parra did not allow a baserunner while pitching 2.1 scoreless innings over three appearances this week, and has now gone 5.1 innings without allowing a hit. He was worth +.028 WPA this week.

Just missing the ballot this week: Shaun Marcum, Aramis Ramirez
