Prognostikeggers 2012 - Week 6: Brewers vs. Twins

Will Gallardo give your point total a big boost, or let you down in a way you didn't expect?
Will Gallardo give your point total a big boost, or let you down in a way you didn't expect?

It's time to start interleague play.

While it was a low-scoring series for Prognostikeggers, one person took advantage of the opportunity. Kid19 used 12 points to jump ahead of everyone else this week, building a seven point lead over the four people tied in second place. Looking over at the overall standings, icecreamman retained his lead, but aaronetc closed the gap a little more.

Here'e a chance to open up some gaps, or widen them even more. It's time for another player bonus series.

Player Bonus: It's another player bonus week. It's a little different this time, because while we're focusing on one position player, we're not focusing on one specific player. For this one, the player is the Brewers starting pitcher for each game. Check the probable starters below to see which three starters this will be.

As with the last player bonus, you can earn up to three additional points a game by picking the chosen player for the following predictions:

- MVP (correctly choosing the SP as the MVP is worth 1 additional point)
- Extra (correctly choosing the SP for the extra is worth 1 additional point)
- Bonus (a correct qualifying bonus prediction with the SP is worth 1 additional point)

Starting pitcher is one of those positions that can either make you jump for joy or burn you. How will you respond to it? Will you take a chance?

Extra Prediction for the Series: As usual for these player bonus series, the extra prediction involves picking a player. For this series, predict with Brewers batter will record the fourth strikeout for the team. If you are correct, you will get two points. You may also predict that there will not be four strikeouts, and you will get two points if you are correct. (Just as a point of reference, in 11 of their 38 games so far this season, the Twins' pitchers have failed to record four strikeouts, so it is possible that the Brewers' hitters will strike out three or less times.)

Explanation of Denied Bonuses

The Brewers will not ground into any double plays - That happens in about half of all Brewers games, so it doesn't qualify as a valid bonus.
