- Bad news for Lance Berkman. The Cardinals' First Baseman has a torn meniscus in his right knee. Berkman will undergo further tests later in the week.
- The Cardinals are not the only team dealing with injuries. Red's Third Baseman is improving, but still on the mend.
- The Houston Astros have signed Armando Galarraga to a Minor League contract. In other roster moves, the club has called up Enerio Del Rosario to replace Jordan Lyles.
