  • With the draft nearly upon us, the Cubs' draft brass are debating what to do with the No. 6 pick. The Cubs have a workout scheduled for their potential first round pick. The Tribune reports that the club will look to upgrade their pitching staff.
  • In other Cubs news, too bad they can't play the Padres every day.
  • Skip Schumaker, who pulled a hamstring during Wednesday's game in Atlanta, is likely headed for another stint on the disabled list.
  • Cardinals starter Jaime Garcia had an MRI on his elbow Wednesday after feeling discomfort following his Sunday start against the Phillies. He will not make his next scheduled start on Friday.
