Win Probability Graph

The lone offensive highlight came from Nori Aoki, who must have known the game was being shown on TV back home in Japan as he launched one out of Great American Ballpark.

Braun, as you saw above, had a rough night, going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts, ending his hit streak at 18 games.

Mat Latos pitched a complete game recording a career high 13 strikeouts. (and a +.583 WPA)
At one point he threw 24 straight strikes and in the fifth inning he had 53 pitches - and just nine of those were balls (and one was a walk).

Kam Loe pitched a scoreless seventh, but gave up a leadoff hit in the eighth to Drew Stubbs and was pulled immediately for Manny Parra. Parra struck out Joey Votto, but Stubbs stole second and Brandon Phillips hit one to deep center that scored Stubbs, making it 3-1 in the bottom of the eighth. Phillips than stole third, but he didn't score on a Jay Bruce groundout that Corey Hart made a great play on.

The short leashes continued as Parra was then pulled for the Brewers debut of Livan Hernandez.

The Livan Hernandez era is upon us folks, and it started with an inning-ending strikeout of Scott Rolen.
