MVP: Travis Ishikawa (+.028)
LVP: Randy Wolf (-.292)
I'm running out of ways to tell you this team isn't very good.
For all intents and purposes this one was over early tonight as Randy Wolf allowed four runs to score in the first. Wolf did manage to pitch five innings tonight but allowed six runs on ten hits, walking one and striking out one. Wolf has now allowed five or more runs in eight of his 23 starts this season.
For the second straight night tonight the Brewer offense made it respectable by rallying in the ninth to draw within shouting distance, this time plating three in the final frame again but leaving the potential tying run on first base when the game ended. The Crew had 12 hits in the game and one was an Aramis Ramirez double. He now has 39 on the season to lead all of baseball. Martin Maldonado also had two hits and both went for extra bases.
This series wraps up tomorrow at 2:10. New father Mark Rogers is scheduled to pitch for the Crew, while the Rockies have yet to announce a starter.
