Marco Estrada was excellent tonight except for a small glitch in the 2nd. He walked Jon Jay and then Daniel Descalso hit a ball to right that Norichika Aoki couldn't catch up to, causing a triple and scoring Jay. The Brewers could have made it up in the 4th, loading the bases, but nothing happened. The bullpen struck again to ruin the Brewers' chances at catching up; it could have been far worse in the 8th inning than it was, but several excellent plays at the plate prevented 3-0 from becoming 5-0.

Jason Motte did his turn at being The Closer Who Walks Leadoff Batters but managed to shut down the Brewers after that, leaving Rickie Weeks standing at second base.

I do have to say that despite his lack of strikeouts, Estrada was locating the ball well tonight. He only walked 1 batter.
