Arizona passed balls update: Clint Coulter is now at 16. Coulter appeared on the big Brewers pregame show with Joe Block yesterday afternoon. He said many things about how the Maryvale coaching staff is working with him on catching drills. Coulter also said something to the effect of he only had 41 PA in about 14(?) games this spring in high school. Coulter's from Washington, so this is also his first time in the high heat of Arizona. So he's drilling all day, playing all night, and putting in the most work he's ever done as a baseball player, this all at age 19. I'll still be noting the passed balls, but that's documented evidence that these young catchers are working at their craft and that they've been dropped into, excuse the cliche, a whole new ballgame.
