Win Expectancy Graph

It's still early in his debut season, but Wily Peralta has been everything the Brewers could have hoped he'd be in his first two major league starts. He allowed just one run tonight on seven hits over six innings, walking one and striking out four. For six innings, however, it looked like that one run might be enough to earn him a loss.

Unfortunately Peralta had already left the game when the Brewer bats finally woke up in the seventh inning. The Brewers sent nine men to the plate in the frame and scored four runs on two hits, four walks, two errors, a sac fly and a bunt. Norichika Aoki had the big hit in the inning, as his second double of the game drove in two runs.

Meanwhile, the Brewer pitchers got a lot of help from their defense tonight. Four Braves were thrown out on the bases tonight, including Martin Prado at third twice. The Braves had ten hits in the game but scored just one run.

This series continues at Miller Park tomorrrow night when Marco Estrada takes on Tim Hudson at 7:10.
