Yovani Gallardo is starting for the Brewers today. He won't make an extended appearance as the Brewers are looking to not overextend him after his return from the World Baseball Classic. Gallardo only made one start with Mexico, pitching 3.1 innings and giving up a run while striking out four batters. Gallardo also made two appearances for the Brewers this spring, pitching 6.2 innings and giving up four earned runs on three homers.
Hyun-Jin Ryu has been busy this spring, making a combined nine appearances thus far between Dodgers camp and the World Baseball classic, where he played for Korea. In camp, he has pitched 10.2 innings and has given up seven runs. He has put up an impressive 12 strikeouts, however. His WHIP stands at 1.59. He pitched an additional 7.0 innings in the WBC where he allowed just two runs and struck out seven hitters.
