When ya pitch good and when ya bat good, yer probably gonna win a lot of ball games.

Such was the case today, as both aspects of the Brewers game came out in full force. Wily Peralta, who had been struggling this spring, had his best outing yet as he threw six innings while giving up just one run. He only posted to strikeouts, but didn't walk any batters. The Brewers choices for the fourth and fifth spots in the rotation have all been kind of fledgling along, so it's nice to see Peralta come out with a good performance.

In addition to Peralta's nice game, the bullpen locked down the Angels bats the rest of the game, which is not a phrase that I am used to typing anymore. Michael Gonzalez pitched one scoreless frame while giving up a walk and Jim Henderson pitched an inning and struck out two and Donovan Hand finished the game off with a clean inning.

The Brewers bats came out in force. Rickie Weeks went 2-2 with a walk, a double, a two-run homer, and two runs scored. Aramis Ramirez hit a solo home run as he went 2-3 with three RBI. Norichika Aoki also picked up a couple of hits and scored two runs. Jonathan Lucroy was the other Brewer to reach base safely multiple times.

Ryan Braun was quiet in his return to the Brewers lineup, going 0-3.

The Brewers play the San Francisco Giants tomorrow. Should be fun.
