Jean Segura had a pair of hits tonight, and both went for extra bases. That's encouraging news when you consider he missed yesterday's game because he couldn't run.
Segura is still only 23 years and 23 days old, but tonight was the second time in his Brewer career he's doubled and tripled in the same game. Only a handful of Brewers have done that at a younger age:
Player | Date | Age |
Robin Yount | April 27, 1975 (Game 1) | 19 years, 223 days |
Darrell Porter | July 19, 1973 | 21 years, 183 days |
Dion James | June 15, 1984 | 21 years, 219 days |
Gary Sheffield* | July 7, 1990 | 21 years, 231 days |
Sixto Lezcano | July 31, 1976 (Game 2) | 22 years, 246 days |
Paul Molitor | April 28, 1979 | 22 years, 249 days |
Charlie Moore | May 1, 1976 | 22 years, 315 days |
* - Sheffield and Segura are the only Brewers who had two games that qualify for this list.
