Betancourt, Gallardo, Gomez, Gorzelanny or Segura: Who will be Brewer of the Week?

This was actually a really tough ballot to knock down to five candidates.

The Brewers may only have gone 3-4 this week, but they had some pretty remarkable individual performances. Here are our BotW nominees:

Yuniesky Betancourt had seven hits this week, including four home runs, and drove in seven runs. He hit .250/.300/.679 this week but was worth -.178 WPA.

Yovani Gallardo pitched seven innings against the Pirates on Monday and allowed just one earned run (and another unearned) on three hits, walking two and striking out five. He was worth +.038 WPA this week.

Carlos Gomez had 13 hits in seven games this week and now has at least one hit in nine straight games. Six of those 13 hits went for extra bases, including three home runs. He hit .500/.567/1.000 with four stolen bases this week and was worth +.884 WPA.

Tom Gorzelanny pitched three innings in relief this week and allowed just one single, striking out one and walking no one. He was worth +.265 WPA this week.

Jean Segura had eight hits in seven games (six starts), including two home runs. He also drove in seven runs and stole two bases. He hit .320/.400/.640 this week and was worth +.381 WPA.

Honorable mentions this week: Hiram Burgos, Ryan Braun, Kyle Lohse
