win expectancy graph / box score
I had to return home for this? Yovani Gallardo was mostly on today except, of course, for the ever-present dodgy fielding (as was reported to me by many fine posters here.) The Astros had their own bad fielding in the 2nd, allowing 3 runs to score on errors.
The Brewers could have scored more runs but they were once again prone to stupid baserunning issues including Scooter Gennett trying to dodge a tag slightly before home plate in the 9th inning. Someone should have told Scoot that baserunning doesn't work that way.
Michael Gonzalez was inexplicably in this game in the 10th inning, the biggest mistake of them all in a close game. Carlos Pena hit a 3-run home run to win it all.
It could have been worse: Trevor Crowe was 1 for 3 but was removed to an injury incurred by trying to catch Lucroy's homer.
At least Carlos Gomez and Jean Segura are still fast. Segura stole 2 bases today and Gomez stole 1.
