Today In Brewer History: Miller's Time

Damian Miller had his best offensive day six years ago today.

On this day in 2007 the Brewers laid a beating to the Pirates at PNC Park, scoring seven runs in the seventh en route to a 10-3 win. Four of the Brewers' 12 hits on the day belonged to Damian Miller, who homered twice and tied a franchise record with seven RBI.

Miller started off his big day with an RBI single in the second to plate the Brewers' first run. He added two more runs with his first home run in the fourth, and four more with a grand slam to put the exclamation point on the rally in the seventh. It was only the 45th time in MLB history a catcher has driven in seven runs in a game.

Miller isn't the only Brewer catcher to complete the seven RBI feat, though: Jonathan Lucroy also did it twice last season.

With help from Brewerfan.net and the B-Ref Play Index, we'd like to wish a happy birthday today to:

Today is also the 28th anniversary of Paul Molitor's 1000th hit, which we covered in this space last year, and the 24th anniversary of Robin Yount's 2500th hit, which we covered in this space two years ago.
