Tonight's game looked a lot like last nights, with less starting pitcher injury. Kyle Lohse looked like he might end the long no-complete-game nightmare - he cruised, getting through three of the first four innings in just seven pitches each and ending the sixth inning with 77 pitches. But he left the game after completing the eighth inning with 103 pitches having given up just one run - a home run to Anthony Rendon.

Sean Halton doubled and Logan Schafer singled to lead off the fifth inning and provide the first offensive threat of the game. A sac bunt by Lohse had runners at second and third with one out. The Nationals are apparently so aware of their own offensive struggles that they brought the infield in at this point, but Nori Aoki beat them with a single to center, scoring both baserunners.

In the next inning, Logan Schafer tagged a ball to deep center for a triple that scored Jonathan Lucroy and Aramis Ramirez.

Francisco Rodriguez came on for the save and though he gave up a single and a walk, induced Rendon to fly out to Carlos Gomez to end the game.
