Well, that wasn't the best effort the Brewers have put up this season.
Milwaukee had just four hits and made Dan Haren look like circa 2007-2011 Dan Haren rather than the shell that he has become.
Donovan Hand wasn't awful today, but the Nationals made the most out of the five hits they got off him. Scoring three runs, including two solo homers. Hand pitched seven innings and also gave up a walk while striking out three. Rob Wooten pitched the remaining two innings, allowing two hits.
As far as Brewers offense goes, there really wasn't much. Rickie Weeks led off the bottom of the first with a well hit double and eventually moved to third, but that was it for Brewers scoring opportunities. Khris Davis was the only Brewer to reach base twice, going 1-2 with a walk. Davis also made a beautiful catch on a long Ryan Zimmerman ball that may or may not have otherwise resulted in a home run.
Best just to forget about this game and move on to tomorrow where, hopefully, the Brewers will wake up a little bit. It'll by Kyle Lohse taking on Taylor Jordan with first pitch scheduled for 1:10 CT.
