Yovani Gallardo wrapped up his 2013 season with a very Yovani Gallardo performance. He more or less cruised through five innings before allowing three straight singles and a walk in the sixth, allowing a run to cross the plate. He did get out of the inning and finished with a quality start, though, allowing two runs on seven hits. He walked one and struck out six in the game.

That was enough for the Brewers, who scored four runs on three home runs in the game. Norichika Aoki and Khris Davis homered in the first inning as the Brewers plated three runs, and Martin Maldonado tacked on one more with an upper deck blast in the seventh.

You can add Davis, by the way, to the list of the Brewers' walking wounded. He came up lame attempting to run out a grounder in the eighth inning and grabbed his hamstring/quad area. The Brewers announced he has a tight left hamstring and a strained right quad.

This series continues tomorrow afternoon when Jimmy Nelson will make his first major league start against Aaron Harang at 3:10.
