- The non-tender deadline is today, where teams have to decide if they will tender contracts to their arbitration-eligible players. Derek looked through the arbitration-eligible players yesterday and believes all three will be tendered contracts.
- The Brewers made two minor-league signings yesterday, signing Nick Additon and Brent Leach to minor-league deals. Leach's deal includes an invite to spring training.

- Former Brewer Mark Kotsay was hired by the Padres to be their new hitting coach. He will be the seventh hitting coach for the Padres since Petco Park opened in 2004.
- Mike Oz of Big League Stew notes that MLB players were drug tested 2,500 times more in 2014 than they were during the 2013 season.
- Now that Brett Lawrie is out of Toronto, he believes the the Rogers Centre artificial turf is responsible for his injury problems over the last few years.
