Win: Jim Henderson (1-0)
Loss: Mark Melancon (0-1)
Save: Francisco Rodriguez (4)
HR: Gomez (4)
Carlos Gomez led off the game the right way with a solo home run as the first batter in the top of the ninth. An Edinson Volquez wild pitch allowed Khris Davis to score run number two. The stupid Pirates tied the game up in the third frame with a pair of runs, but they were no match for the surging Brewers as Jonathan Lucroy hit a go-ahead single in the eighth to plate Ryan Braun. Francisco Rodriguez shut down Pittsburgh for his fourth save of the season.
The Brewers have won eight straight games. Eight. Eight straight. They are 9-2. The Brewers have the best record in the major leagues. There isn't even a team within a game of them.
This is basically the best world right now. I'll have gifs tomorrow to make up for a short recap.
