Yesterday's Results

Cardinals 6, Brewers 1

The Cardinals led for almost the entire game, taking the lead in the second inning and they never relinquished it. Marco Estrada kept the Brewers in the game with a quality start of six innings and three runs, but Jim Henderson put the game out of reach by giving up three runs on two home runs. Aramis Ramirez provided the only offense for the Brewers with a solo home run in the fourth inning.

It's okay to enjoy baseball.

Despite the long winning streak, there's been some negativity around the Brewers. Some fans weren't enjoying the winning streak and instead just waiting for the collapse. Derek wrote about this yesterday, acknowledging the problems with the team but also saying it's okay to enjoy the games. As fans, most of us are aware of all of the problems facing this team. However, it doesn't mean that we can't enjoy the games.

Ryan Braun probably won't get to 3000 hits.

The 3000 hit mark is one of the most treasured marks in baseball. There's only a few active players who have a legitimate chance to reach the mark.  Noah analyzed the possibility yesterday and what Braun would need to do to reach the mark. Braun has the chance to get there, but there's a lot of work to do. If he continues to put up good numbers, he may still get to that mark in his career.

Clint Coulter is continuously working to improve.

Earlier this week, Clint Coulter was named the Midwest League player of the week. It's a good start to the season for Coulter as he works to get better and work his way through the Brewers system. Kyle has a story about Coulter with some quotes from him about how he is approaching the season. He's making nice progress so far this season and could keep working his way through the system. Let's hope it's just the start of a run to the major league.
