The Brewers made a roster move this morning, placing Lyle Overbay on the paternity list. As a corresponding move, the Brewers recalled IF Elian Herrera to fill the open spot on the roster. This isn't expected to be much more than a standard absence, as a player on the paternity list can stay on that list for up to three games.
Recalling Elian Herrera shouldn't be much more than providing depth while Lyle Overbay is out. Since Herrera is a switch-hitter, he could see a pinch hit appearance or two, and potentially get a few innings as a defensive replacement, but may not get much more than that.
