Win: Kyle Lohse (12-9)
Loss: Lance Lynn (15-8)
Save: Trevor Armison (43)
HR: Matt Adams (13), Oscar Taveras (3)
It's not exactly time to worry about Kyle Lohse, but one has to be a little bit worried. After a dud of an outing against the Giants earlier this week, Lohse gave up five earned runs one four hits and two walks in just four innings. At the least, we can take comfort in the fact the Cardinals should know Lohse as well as any other team in the league.
A Matt Adams two run homer in the top of the first put the Cardinals on top early, though Milwaukee scored a couple of their own when Ryan Braun -- who almost didn't play due to his thumb -- singled in a pair. However, the Cardinals came back with three in the fourth inning, including a two run homer off the bat of Oscar Taveras.
A Lyle Overbay double in the sixth brought in one more run for Milwaukee but it was too little too late.
The Brewers are now just a half a game ahead of the Pirates for third place in the division.
