Championship Series Day 2: Game Thread

We get two games today instead of just one including the first game of the NLCS

Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports

Today's action starts in the American League as the Blue Jays look to even the series at one game each. Yesterday the Kansas City Royals gave no indication they were aware of their underdog status. The Blue Jays are the heavily favored World Series favorites. But it was the Royals laying down a 5-0 wallop.

Then later tonight we get to the real action as the Mets travel to Chicago to face the Cubs. It's not exactly surprising that each team has made it this far. But if anyone tries telling you they had these teams in the playoffs from the start of the season they're either lying or their starry eyed dreamers. Each faced pretty long odds but now one of them will play in the World Series. It might be the Cubs that truly have density on their side though.
